I tried to like this, I really did, but the hosts seem to be too focused on making the audience laugh at bro humour and not enough on socialist theory. They also don't pay much attention to poc voices in socialism, which is what other socialest outlets have been doing for years now. Any reccomendations for books that do better?

The book was only okay, would've worked better in 2015 or so. The quick-facts sections were pretty funny.
It's definitely not meant to be a real introduction to socialism, just an explanation of why the United States has been a malicious 300-year trash fire and the political parties and media and social media normies are conspiring to make things even worse. Explaining an alternative isn't going to fit into a satire book

Even if they knew what they were talking about they wouldn't talk much about socialist theory because the problems that cripple socialism are currently unsolvable. The centralized distribution of resources will always be drastically less efficient than price coordinated distribution until we can invent an omniscient computer which can know what, when, and where things are needed at all times times. Most socialists realize this and try to come with some hybrid economy but all they're doing is creating a less efficient capitalism.
