The irony is that by not understanding that the poster was making a joke, you have made yourself seem considerably foolish, as if you believed that 300 words was a reasonable length for an essay, or that such a diminutive task would take some amount of time to complete, which of course, it wouldn't. By not understanding the ludicrous nature of the anxiety that the character that is presented in the poster's post has towards this small essay task as something that clearly flags itself as a joke or a lie, one could reasonably imagine that you consider a 300 word essay to be a more difficult task than someone who easily interpreted the post as humorous.
