As someone who's gotten a lot out of Peterson's lectures, I was disappointed by the book. It has good moments, but doesn't feel tightly structured, and leaps from solid and insightful points to claims that are quite dubious. Still, if you're at all interested in JBP as a thinker or as a phenomenon, you may as well read it. The pictures are good, too.

Well what are your crafts? You know what is the right thing to do, it's having the will power and determination to go through with it.
It takes courage to reach for something meaningful, the reason I'm interested in Peterson is to do with the fame itself and why he became so popular so fast. Its like people are needed and called to certain tasks and have a purpose in life.

Some people get to realise and actualise that vision and do something great. I would do what Kondo is doing to possessions and then translate it to your crafts and how you spend your time.

Just items that can aid your survival in the city or ii never the wild. Everything from footwear, instead of shoes that have white bottoms and are destined to get dirty and wear out I wear leather boots. Or a backpack instead of a name brand o use canvas. Anything I buy is old fashioned, vintage, is proven long lasting or made from durable materials.

I've also got a problem with noise in urban environments when I'm trying to concentrate especially when reading, so I like to take a camping chair and go sit in the bush while I read, preferably next to a river. The sound of slow running water and birds chirping helps me relax and concentrate.

Maybe telling people to get help or therapy has been used as an insult, but Peterson being a psychologist O don't think he is being mean. He did screw up and wipe his nose like he had some meanness to hide but maybe that was him being uncomfortable or not believing or not having alot of experience with asexuality as a topic. I haven't seen the full version so don't know how much depth he went into it. I think he thinks people are made to breed and carry on their genetic code for future generations and anything self imposed is standing in the way of that and therefore could be diagnosed as some kind of mental illness or disorder which is basically how everything is defined these days.
