Y-you know what Plato? No! Even if I did it would take years to master ancient Greek and even then, I couldn't fully comprehend spirit of your time, which is the whole reason I learned Greek in the first place.

Sure thing.

Started in September, but making slow progress. It's weird how it's more complicated than Latin in certain respects and then again simpler, as I see it.
And the vocabulary study is pretty difficult. I have a much larger vocab in Basque, which I also started studying in September, but that's probably because of the active language use and stuff.

In what context do you use basque actively? Just curious. Is it still used as an everyday language?

I speak it with a guy who is partly Basque and with friends from Uni to improve our speaking skills. I plan on going to Euskal Herria though in order to practice with native speakers (I'm from Europe anyway, so no big journey for me).

Yeah, it's used by ca. 500.000 speakers daily I would say. The total speaker count is almost 1 Million.

Also, it's crazy complicated, grammar-wise. The verbal system makes Indo-European stuff look like total babies.
