I think a lot of the questions regarding nationalism/patriotism and progressivism/tradition are weighted somewhat silly. You could have a very patriotic or essentialist viewpoint while not necessarily supporting your nations or its traditions if you deem them inferior, false or misconstrued. The same to an extent with economic issues, you could have an essentialist outlook and thus accept inequalities while still being against usury exploitation or market economics.
