Here's the thing though. In Mexico they don't call the USA "The United States of America." They call it "Los Estados Unidos." They don't bother to use foreign words if they have their own. The name is "Estados Unidos de América", in short "Estados Unidos", we don't colloquially call it "America" like you do because in Spanish "América" is the entire American continent (the two land masses you call The Americas), not just a single nation. So, yeah.

You might think that because you're an Anglo and have never been in the situation of needing to produce an accurate pronunciation as a speaker of any other language.
The truth is, everyone is expected to make at least some attempt at the original pronunciation of a loanword. Then, usually some kind of compromise becomes the popular standard over time.

Oh, and also, y'all need to learn how to read IPA or at least look up foreign pronunciations on forvo, wiktionary, or wherever.
