But that brings up more questions. Are these people with agency avatars for beings beyond our comprehension? If not, do they operate in an area in this universe (which then brings more questions, like how they interact with their ‘characters’. If people with agency truly exist in the sense that they don’t live an npc lifestyle but they still fall under these other being’s control, then they still lack a true direction. If there aren’t other beings playing through them, what physical qualities do they have that separates them from other the other npc humans? It can’t be strictly mental, otherwise anyone’s capable of breaking free of this npc lifestyle.
