11474709 No.11474709 [Reply] [Original]

1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.

10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

sure, sodomy is a sin
>hating niggers
ya, but nigger means a black who behaves terribly
>kikes
ok, a semite is kikeish when he is marked by greed and awful zionist politics
>hating women
this one is wrong, we can hate slut behavior sure, but we are supposed to protect and educate the weaker sex, since they will be our wives, etc. hating them is pointless, they need to be reformed.

>sure, sodomy is a sin
So is hate.

>ya, but nigger means a black who behaves terribly
Which is redeemable.

>ok, a semite is kikeish when he is marked by greed and awful zionist politics
For which he shall be punished.

>this one is wrong, we can hate slut behavior sure, but we are supposed to protect and educate the weaker sex, since they will be our wives, etc. hating them is pointless, they need to be reformed.
Yes, but one should not judge.

Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice?
She standeth in the top of high places, by the way in the places of the paths.
She crieth at the gates, at the entry of the city, at the coming in at the doors.
Unto you, O men, I call; and my voice is to the sons of man.
O ye simple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart.
Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be right things.
For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness is an abomination to my lips.
All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing froward or perverse in them.
They are all plain to him that understandeth, and right to them that find knowledge.
Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold.
For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.
I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions.
The fear of the Lord is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.
Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength.
By me kings reign, and princes decree justice.
By me princes rule, and nobles, even all the judges of the earth.
I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.
Riches and honour are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness.
My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver.
I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment:
That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.
The Lord possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.
I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.
When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water.
Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth:
While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world.
When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth:
When he established the clouds above: when he strengthened the fountains of the deep:
When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth:
Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him;
Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth; and my delights were with the sons of men.
Now therefore hearken unto me, O ye children: for blessed are they that keep my ways.
Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.
Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.
For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the Lord.
But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death.

Wait so charity sounds like being a good person, but aren't things like giving money to the poor and giving body to sacrifice good person things? I'm not sure I understand

Charity = Love = Agape
It's not simply sentimental feelings, it means willing the good for the other

We should hate sin. Hate is not itself a sin, God hated Esau, for example.

Sinners can be redeemed true, niggers and kikes can be reformed, so can sluts.
Judgement is fine as long as its done with discernment and humility, not vanity or vengeance. We are actually told to judge wisely and carefully, not merely by appearances, John 7:24.

Based Aquinas poster.

>We should hate sin. Hate is not itself a sin, God hated Esau, for example.
Hate always implies judgement, which is a sin. Only God can judge.

Indeed. Jesus refused to declare execution of the whore because it was essentially a lynching mob, not a proper trial with witnesses as required in deuteronomy. And ofcourse it is a lesson in humility and against hypocrisy.

Judgement isnt a sin. Hypocrisy, injustice, partiality,... are sins. Judgement is a necessity in life.

>Hate always implies judgement, which is a sin. Only God can judge.
Only God can judge us in the sense of salvation/damnation, but we are still told to judge each other in the sense of discerning good from evil and helping each other overcome sin.

I literally posted a verse where we are told to judge wisely in this life. John 7:24 Judge rightly not by appearances
Leviticus 19:15 Judge fairly, not with injustice.
Matthew 7:2 judge without hypocrisy, for your standards will be applied to you
Zecharaiah 8:16, judge with truth and peace.

1 Cor 6:3 we will judge the angels in the afterlife.
Judging is not a sin or 'only' for God.

Yes, but don't those who hate gays always give themselves the right to claim those gays will be damned and that God will send them to hell? Isn't that judging, in in the sense you mentioned? And doesn't the idea that we can ever know what God will do just make it worse?

It's correct to say unrepentant gays are most likely damned, but how this message is conveyed makes a big difference.
If they do it out of spite or to justify violence against gays then ya, that's the wrong way to do it. If they do it out of compassion cause they want to be like "hey, watch out...you're on the wrong path" then that's fine. Just like you would tell a thief or an adulterer to change course.
