I honestly don't understand how /lit/ can hold a belief in a western canon whenn it is painfully obvious that pseud hacks like this are hailed as geniuses.

Your Aristotle, your Plato, your Homer, these are just the Rupi Kaurs of their day. And so are any alternatives I would hold up in their place.

I quite enjoy the form of William Blake's poetry but sometimes I fear his self-indulgent and incoherent mysticism is Rupi Kaur tier.

I should expect /lit/ of all places to lack basic reading comprehension. My lament was that the things I treasure most are just pop culture constructions and not actually better than Rupi Kaur. The best and brightest /lit/ of centuries past is long dead and gone forgotten and unknown.
