Doing well, anon. Finished Mann's overrated The Magic Mountain and am currently bumping KRXXP$XT and drinking White Horse. Thinking about reading Jurassic Park and orating Hart Crane tomorrow. Right now I'm enjoying taco-seasoned mushrooms and bell peppers and sipping on cheap Kirin. Tonight is good. Bang DOOMSHOP.

It really is. I hope only that the audience is willing to embrace ambiguity. I've recited Crane before, and it wasn't that great. Had loads of questions about clarification instead of probing after the reading. We'll see how it goes this time.

a few goals that I had been able to put front for myself:
1. Listen and appreciate all good music that ever been composed and produced.
(so far ones that I really enjoyed would be G. Frederick Handel, Swans, Death Grips)
2. Write my own novel.
3. Write my own short story, and published.
4. Shooting my own feature film.
5. Shooting my own short film.
6. Appreciate and approaching the styles of world greatest auteurs.
(Robert Bresson, Tarkovsky, Bergman, Tarr, Lynch, Kieslowski)

>no. 2 probably one of the hardest goal to achieve.
>no. 4 probably the hardest goal, especially in term of the cost of making it.

I am interested to live an ascetic life, probably by following a sufi tradition, but still haven't had a concrete achievable goal for this to write it down. This is for my daily routine, a day to day basis.

Sorry for a late reply. Sufism is appealing but i cannot really believe in any religion. I guess nature is my religion but i don' t want to sound like one of those people.

I smoked part of a joint in the bath, became overwrought with anxiety about getting fired and my porn habit and then read some of The Plague but put it back on the shelf.

I recommend learning about the ancient Cynics if you're interested in (one of) the origins of Western and Near-Eastern ascetic tradition. Here's some books:

https://www.mediafire.com/folder/zp2ppnxjwj28c//Cynicism

Pretty compatible with irreligiosity and in a way a bunch of nature worshippers.

the plague is a very comfy novel though, in a strange way. i recommend finishing it.

i also recommend not smoking weed if you have anxiety and not consuming pornography at all.

The anxiety of weed eventually subsides and it is very relaxing to my body. Porn is entirely corrosive to my mental health. I can't tell if is bad in itself or if my somewhat religious upbringing introduced a toxic level of shame regarding sex into my perception.

I don't think that one has much value as a historical work on the Cynics though, more his own typical twist on things.

Stopped reading.

1. Good is subjective.
2. That's impossible.
3. Just listen to what you like. If you're 10 minutes/2 songs into an album and not enjoying it then move on.
