Maybe 3-4 weeks of leisurely reading, taking breaks for a while then coming back to it. Sometimes I just open it up to a random page and read passages from it because it’s so beautiful. Milton was a superhuman, colossal genius, it’s trite to say it considering his reputation but still, some of the best English writing ever produced.

A couple days both times. It's surprisingly engaging, though it drags a bit at the end with all the angelic conversation stuff.

I've been reading it on and off for like three weeks now. I'll read a chapter once every few days: I love Milton's writing, I'm just put off a bit by all the biblical references that fly over my head. Apart from that I love it.
