Tarkovsky's films gave the impression to me that Russian is a beautiful language but so far as my language 101 goes French felt entirely easier to learn compare to Russian.

I tend to ignore all positive opinions on the Russian language from people who do not speak it because the amount of Westerners (Malays are even more distant in this case) with such claims, yet also any knowledge of the most basic Russian, remains close to zero. I'm not even talking about formal grammar (which is indispensable, by the way): they can't even put together simple words for a simple, two- or three-word sentence that would embody the natural Russian way of expression. Such people really know nothing, and their attempts to speak Russian are exceptionally ugly and awkward; what they therefore find beautiful, must have very little to do with the actual Russian language, it may even be what Russians consider ugly. Be careful!

Spanish is pretty straightforward, spoken like it's written, no flowery, no floriture. Raw, to the point. Manly.

Portuguese has many gay-looking words with ã or õ. As well as many French (aka gay) sounding tones. But still remains masculine.

Italian despite being spoken like it's written, it's too musical to be manly, it practically sounds like you're singing, also there are many funny words that sound very child-like.

French. It's as difficult to understand as a woman. Not spoken like it's written. Most things sound pretentious and flowery. Basically every rule has an exception and some rules are make the language "pretty", with no practical value. Very effeminate-sounding.

Nostro and nuestro is such a subtle difference that the speaker might not even notice they made a mistake. Same goes for nome and nombre. Speaking all three without making these small mistakes, in my opinion, is quite impressive.
