Many political philosophers just straight up use deductive reasoning when considering the ideas they present, through empirical examples.

if you mean "prove" in a formal premises->operators->conclusions sense then what you are looking for is analytic philosophy. in fact analytics care so much about proof that the actual content is often trivial, and skipped altogether

in any other sense....I believe the "proof" is derived from whatever their philosophical school/tradition/background is, and more often than not, implicit
