I think the concept of cognitive biases stands on firm ground, or at least the idea that humans are fully rational is no longer considered correct. So we have him to thank for that shift in thinking.

I’d definitly agree that the first volume is the best and most important of the bunch. A lot of people have written about Germany in the lead up to the war, and during the war itself, but as far as really good analysis of the origins of the Nazi movement itself, at least for lay audiences the first volume is really good.

I think to some extent he overstretched himself with the project. It’s just not possible to do everything justice without ending up in a massive sprawling many volume series.
