Do you guys finish every book you start, or if it's boring do you just put it down and read another instead?

I get OCD if I finish a book but I feel like this is stupid and I should start being more efficient with my reading. But I also don't want to create a habit of not finishing any books

So far I've done so.
But not there's series I might not finish.

my main character is always been female.

I just write them the same as male characters

And write their male love interests like cute anime girls

I haven't read a book since 2003, I'm just here to redpill you booktards.

I generally put a book down if I'm bored with it. It is a hobby, after all. You'll read more efficiently and enjoy it more if you read things that interest you. Also, if you're horribly bored with a book I imagine you're less likely to ask important questions of the text or get much out of it.

I read what interests me, ask questions, and follow that up by reading books that I think might address those questions. I avoid making plans to read things now. I tried making lists of things I thought I ought to read (i.e., falling for the "start with the greeks meme") but that always turned me off of reading.

As they say in the gym, the best workout plan is the one that works for you and the one that you can realistically stick to. Reading is no exception.

I take the Kill la Kill approach and write my female lead as if she were a male lead like Ryuko.

I've written plenty of female characters and at no point did I mention the jiggliness of their tits.

>> No.10357756

I used to be of the finish it once you start it school but I've concluded that life's too short for bad books, especially since there are so many good ones available.

How do you control yourself from picking it back up, the only book I've ever dropped was Atlas Shrugged but I still have a feeling I may revisit it soon even though I utterly despise it

>tfw you're writing the western equivalent of a yuri manga that spans three decades and several novels with an all female cast

This is going to be tougher than I thought.
