One of the few cases where the movie adaptation beat the original. Not that HoD was bad at its core, but it worked better on a visual medium, or Coppola's direction was better than Conrad's prose.

I thought Things Fall Apart was pretty good and even agree with some of Achebe's criticism of HoD. Still love HoD.
