Extreme/ experimental noise music, fringe of the fringe conspiracy networks, experimenting with psychedelics (alone), hiking, meditation, learning to cook traditional dishes, foraging, gardening, gnoming, urbex, biking, there's literally countless entertaining activities to do alone. I usually do it all while listening to comfy ambient music. Being part of a social group is mundane as fuck.

My fiancée and I spend many hours a week reading together. I'd known her back in highschool, but after graduation hadn't heard from her in years. 9 years to be exact. But chance had it that I became reacquainted with one of our mutual friends who then informed me that they still talked. I'd always had a crush on her in highschool, and I was told she was single now. This was my chance. Through our mutual friend, we became reacquainted at last and began filling in the 9 year gap. I learn that after school she more or less had stayed at home and had lived with her parents all these years, in seclusion from society and even (to my utter amazement) social media in it's entirety. She tells me she's an avid reader. This, my dear reader, was the key moment. The moment where all will be won. Or lost. Barely containing my power level, I tell her that I too am an avid reader.

>There is one other class of love that often goes unmentioned. It's a kind of world-love, a feeling of belonging in the world and a union with the order of things. A sense of fitting in in the broadest, most inclusive sense. A feeling of wholeness. This kind of love comes from many sources including spiritualism and religion and even deep philosophical or scientific understanding. This is worth living for in my book.
This is what I feel in a forest or on the coast or a mountain.

>Not worrying about how fast the reading is accomplished
>Audibly laughing when appropriate; showing true appreciation for the authors absurd situations
>Attempting to empathize with all characters; appreciating the role of the antagonist
>Looking for key universal principals; taking note of the play between archetypes within the story
>Feelings of affection for characters you identify with; appreciate the minute details
>Always having a wide variety of tea in stock for day or night reading, and according to outside weather
>That first musty grimoire sniff of the day
>That bedside edition of LotR in constant rotation
