Pedophiles join the church with the sole intention of diddling kids, just like pedos will become teachers or babysitters or whatever to do the same. Then you have rings of pedos covering up each other's tracks, we can see the same thing in other instances (cough elites cough). I agree, it does reflect poorly on the Church and should be sought out and eradicated.

A lot of times even innocent superiors will try to hide things like rings of pedophiles, not because they are implicated but because they know, as you said, that it will reflect poorly on their authority. Colleges do this all the time, for example, UGA and its handling of buried slaves.
