And I: “My Master, much should I be pleased,
If I could see him soused into this broth,
Before we issue forth out of the lake.”
And he to me: “Ere unto thee the shore
Reveal itself, thou shalt be satisfied;
Such a desire ’tis meet thou shouldst enjoy.”
A little after that, I saw such havoc
Made of him by the people of the mire,
That still I praise and thank my God for it.
They all were shouting, “At Philippo Argenti!”
>"HAH HAAH" we hear angelic rank raise
>"Overhead! master, see! This makes quite the Divine Comedy!

I don't know, if this fits here, but how does one go on about becoming a better joke teller, coming up with jokes and what are some good books to hear a ton of witty/clean/dark, etc... jokes to use in conversations?

I understand most are personal stories and being spontaneous on the spot in combination with general knowledge of world and creativity, but is there more to it?

Any good books that are full of jokes, stories and so on to tell during those drunk nights, when room starts to become silent and you run out of everything?

Tell your favorite ones.

Splendid mansions, glittering car-
riages, birth-day dresses, flit before her imagination.
Above all, the delightful idea that she shall take
precedence of those who now think themselves her
equals and superiors, dispels every thought of love.
