Quite a few. Usually it's multiple translations (Beowulf, Dante) or a reading copy and a nice/antique copy, or a Norton-type scholarly edition. Some times you just want the story itself. Occasionally I have a separate copy of a shorter work, and than an omnibus/collection that includes it.

I have a half-dozen translations of Beowulf (and can read the original) and Burton Raffel's is one of my favourite for plain-speech literal transliteration of lines.

I've forgotten most of my Old English days, but good work, OP. It's amazing working with the old stuff, and has a flavour that vanished after the Norman Conquest.

Of course it's worth reading again. My Old English class spent a year translating huge chunks of it and reading the original, and I still love decent translations of it.

They're all worth reading. I can read the original, but I still enjoy finding new versions of that poem. Here's my Beowulf-related stack.

5/6 Beowulf, etc.
