A lot of collectivist philosophies interest me on theoretical basis (Distributism especially) but I'm realizing more and more that I am temperamentally an individualist.
My uni lecturers are striking this week and we've all been invited to "join in solidarity."
The very idea makes me cringe. Whenever I'm in a group of more than 4 people my first thought is that something has gone terribly wrong and I must leave ASAP.

But enough of the blogpost, do you know of any literature, fiction or philosophical, that espouses individualism? What are you own thoughts on it?
