You know glorifying serf life to some utopic level is just as deluded as seeing peasant (which is a big step up from serf) life as slavery in houses made of manure.

It leaves out:
-Being able to be literally bought and sold with land and in Russia to factory owners
-Not being allowed to leave your village without explicit permission from your noble.
-Not being allowed to marry who you want without explicit permission from your noble.
-Not being able to have legal recourse if your noble commits physical abuse.
-Being prematurely aged by physical labour and lack of medicine.
-Huge rates of infant mortality and death in childbirth.
-Having almost all of your labour and work go to your noble.
-Almost zero social mobility.
