Professors also aren't there to educate you. They are the agents of a system of exploitation, whose process is tedious, perfunctory, and whose value is only in the form of a degree come the end. Why shouldn't you fuck with the faculty every chance you get? It changes nothing, and it breaks the monotony of being held hostage for some arbitrary qualification.
