The Bill Oakley and Josh Weinstein era is the last really solid era, which is technically the eighth season. However since seasons aren't discrete production units there is bleed from one to the next, and I think at least 3/4ths of the 9th season scripts are really solid--comparable to anything else from season seven or eight.

Even season 10 is watchable. The shows internal memory and the "institutional memory" of the writing staff were still relatively well connected to the anything that could be considered the golden era.

Season 11 is where things start to get really bad. The Tommaco episode stands out in my memory as the last maybe quasi-good episode, and a lot of people consider the horse racing episode to be one of the first new era episodes

Her face is hidden by a black veil.
I have no memories of her, just a faded photograph.

I don't love her when I'm awake;
Instead of dreaming I see the disappointment behind the veil.
No memories.
I want to be alone.

And I also want to dream.

It sucks;
She's a ghost.
I see the truth and stay in the shadows;
I'd break.

>Pic unrelated.
