Written by one of the archaeologists who first assessed the contents of the Nag Hamadi texts. In addition to presenting their findings he includes excerpts written by the gnostic's enemies such as Irenaeus and the Neoplatonists to fill out the dimensionality of their obscured identity. I assume the gnostics in the other thread are here already but I'll post it there too.
