What you are looking for in the western tradition is pic related. People will tell you to read Plato first, which may help but that means you need to take this whole thing extremely slow and take your time.
I think you can still have an interesting time reading this with little preparation, as long as you go in order. Also check out Parmenides Publishing: they publish the single treatises in order with good introductions, you may want to buy those one buy one to get some context before jumping in.
Plotinus is possibly the only western philosopher I had read (together with Plato) that gave me the genuine feeling of having experienced something beyond reality.
If you want to share a bit more of your experience, I am curious to hear about it. Also, overall, just wanted to say that I hope you are okay and will keep being okay in the future.

I've been wanting to get into this work for a while now but it's so dense (in addition to being long). Every time I try looking for a guide that goes over each individual tractate from each ennead I can't find anything, other than a reddit post that's still in the middle of working on it and done by a layperson as opposed to a scholar. I'd prefer text but even a youtube playlist would be better than nothing.

I like the concept of Christianity but I can't believe its mythology, especially the stuff in the OT, it makes no sense.
Why didn't neoplatonism really catch on since it's Christianity without the nonsensical elements? Are the Enneads too inaccessible?

Everyone who affirmed this are idiots.
Becoming is equal to Flux: Becoming doesn't actualize shit but rather perpetually DE-actualizes everythimg that is actively actualized by souls and the gods. Becoming is the fact that if you don't actively focus on a creation time (Saturn) will swallow it and destroy it. For matter has no power to sustain, it can only receive (and it receives perfectly since it is empty), thus Body has no power in itself to remain. But because the above eternally flows forth new Being, something always takes the place, and thus there's always becoming.

To then use Becoming as a synonym for actualization, is just secondary. In anagoge you don't become anything in the true sense, you in fact becoming less for your blinders and chains are lifted from you and so you "become" more coherent/less complex/less fragmented. More One.

Plotinus. The most recent translation of The Enneads is one of the most interesting work of Greek philosophy I've ever read.
