Fucking wow

Just finished this book in one sitting, it was fun. It’s only a 100 some pages so that’s probably not an accomplishment to you but it is to me because I’m retarded. I read it off a pdf online that didn’t have the page count and formatted the pages differently. Making each chapter as one page almost. I downloaded another pdf onto my phone and it was formatted normally telling you the pages and everything and the words arranged slightly differently. I noticed when I tried to read it off this pdf I reading it much slower. Is this a normal thing? Is how you format a book even if it’s slightly different and actually telling the reader what page they’re on effect how fast the reader can read? If so, why? To what extent? And should writers keep this in mind while writing and creating their books? Maybe even changing how you keep track of pages?
