Because it's legitimately one of the most common fetishes on the planet. I think there was a study on this. Some sort of study on people's sexual preferences, which I can't be arsed to dig up right now. But one of the findings is that there's a massive percentage of the population, at least in the West, that is really seriously attracted to fat girls. They just don't admit it publicly, because it's such a strong taboo, even now when there's obesity everywhere. But it's apparently an extremely common fetish, something like 30% of the population has it. It's as common as some more "vanilla" fetishes, like tall girls or bondage. It's just that nobody wants to admit it.

So why should I be a sap? You post a woman, especially an attractive-looking woman with good features, why should I pretend, why should I try to care, about the ostensible subject of your thread? If you want a real discussion, you shouldn't post a sexy woman. But if you do post a sexy woman you're clearly a baiter and a troll and probably a coomer yourself, so I see no reason not to degrade and ruin the thread to such an extent that the mod deletes it, which is what he should have done in the first place because your thread was probably off-topic to begin with. So I get to have some fun AND /lit/ gets a little more cleaned up. Sounds like a win-win to me.

Only men should be /fit/. Men should be /fit/ and women should be fat. That's what suits both sexes best.

I have a pretty serious fat fetish. In the past, I have fallen in love with IRL girls who aren't fat, and who are rather thin. I'm honestly not sure how true this is. It's not that 4chan hasn't degraded in quality a bit--it definitely has--but I think you underestimate just how impenetrable this site still is to normalfags. Redditors don't have much of an adjustment, but that's because Reddit's a bit of a weird site in its own right. Put the average TRUE normalfag on here, ie somebody who primarily interacts with the internet via Google and Facebook, and they're going to lose their shit.

I have a short story collection out with a small press right now. They haven't rejected it yet, which I take to be a good sign since it's been more than seven months. The press says they'll be making decisions in December and January, so we'll see.

Well, what can you do? It's their fault for being a combination of unresponsive and dull-witted. They actually came here once advertising a short story competition, but I don't think it ever materialized. And now they've had so many long dry spells with no new writing that I wonder if something isn't going on behind the scenes.
