A spectre haunts /lit/ - the spectre of volunteer wagieism. All of the effortposters of old /lit/ have entered into a holy alliance to exorcise this spectre: Pre-accelerationist posters and non-Guenon traditionalists, anti-Deleuzians and non-atheist anti-Christians, casual Zizekians and Tedposters.

This spectre threatens to eliminate effortposters as a class, and together we must organise against this madness. Both left-wing and right-wing can agree on only one thing: there is nothing more disgusting than a volunteer wagie. Neowagieist voluntarism is the surplus value extraction of effortposting. Everywhere one hears cries of 'THAT'S NOT /LIT/!' and 'SOMEONE CALL A JANNIE!' you can be sure that what you are seeing is the eternal slide into One Big Slide Thread. And we must unite against this hidden war, we must form into a single class.

All intellectualism comes down to effort in the end. The non-professional slider at least has to feign an effortpost, or string one along, to keep you tantalized by his trap. But the volunteer wagie simply deletes intellectual appearance. Whether good or bad is of no concern to him/her, the moderation policy simply is. He is the dindu nuffin of intellectual debate, the gibmedats of a greentext reduced to blind administration and disinfectant spray. For they are not even worthy of being called jannies, such is an insult to good working men. They have all of the worst traits of Oblomovists and Stakhanovites with none of the good. Wagie voluntarists are lower than lumpenproles. They are the graverobbers who would never stoop so low as to thieve anything valuable. Revolutionary acts are not even a consideration for them (hence the production of a racket to counter the Ted threads). Thus we must say that if this place glows it does so because we have become alienated from our true purpose as a class: the effort theory of posting.
