The Foundation books? I'm not well-versed in Asimov as all but there is the original trilogy and then there are two prequels and two sequels. I'm not going to bother with the prequels because I'm not interested but I'm currently a little over a 1/4 into Foundation and Earth--the last Foundation book--and I've really enjoyed these two thus far.

How is Vance? I haven't read any of his works but I've heard he's one of the pioneers of sci-fantasy and this interests me as I've become more and more interested in hard sci-fi, plus a /lit/ friend that doesn't read fant/sci-fi recommended his Dying Earth series to me. I should get around to reading them sometime. Tell me about his books, anon.
