Happy Sunday! It wouldn't be /Lit/ without a proper Nietzsche thread in the catalogue, and yes, I was too lazy to check the whole catalogue so if there is already one up this is another one which is pretty much the /Lit/ modus operandi. Decided to throw an aphorism from Daybreak out there but any and all pertinent posts are welcome and appreciated, and even some of the usual Nietzsche jokes that get thrown around on here.

I don't see as many Daybreak references as other works and think it is criminally under-read in relation to other works from Nietzsche.

Nobody should believe we are living in the best possible timelines. That you bought into it, and that the lie took you out of your depression for a time is a sign of misaligned incentives and values. It's your fault for being so weak that you are overcome by societies failures. That's on you, the individual.

That you think you're owed happiness is a problem only you can solve. Society doesn't owe you anything. Life, the universe, doesn't owe you anything.
People like you are just weak and are being overwhelmed by your environment and are too stupid to realize the error. Your values are all fucked because you think "happiness" is the goal instead of strength to overcome life's obstacles. Either build your strength or lay down and die.


Be better.
Be stronger.
Be smarter.

M8 even Nietzsche didn't deny that he was filled to the brim with resentment, his entire philosophy was a way to overcome that shit so that he could live with himself and somehow find meaning in his squalid, humiliating existence.

Guy was one of the most tragic figures in human history, and that would've been the case even without all the self-aggrandisement.
