>Mind rot
If your want to study philosophy, OP, then start with Plato. He might cause mind rot, as butterfly puts it, but it's the kind of mind rot every subsequent western philosopher has studied and built upon. Plato is the teacher of every great philosopher we have. You don't have to believe what Plato believes, but you do have to study him if you want to get into western philosophy seriously.

Anon I'm in a similar space, reading is nice for ideas, but valuable action is hard for me to take. And due to this failing I often feel stuck and trapped within my own lethargy, waiting for the abyss that is birthed from my inaction to come and subsume me. I guess one thing that is helping the situation, is doing something different outside your daily routine.
Help someone when you usually wouldn't, go for a walk in a new place, find something new to make for breakfast; start breaking the monotony of your life and reflect upon the feelings that follow and direct them for further change.

societies that had "master morality" also practiced marriage, so idk what your point is. also nowadays most people who adhere to slave morality are leftists who want to deconstruct marriage and/or destroy marriage all together.

>being treated like
thats your problem, you are focused on how you are being treated, or acted upon. an alpha is "treated" in any way, he DOES the treating. stop being a passive beta bitch and start taking action. lift weights. eat meat. punch stuff.

a sense of some sort of higher being or force is an essential part of the human phenomenological experience.
also having a shared value system is great for fostering community. if you think that the french-liberal egalite liberte fraternite isn't just a protestant sect that has dropped all the divine stuff you're just fooling yourself. this isn't to say you can't have a morality without religiousity, just read Nietzsche, that's his own project, but we haven't had a communal moral system (in the past 4000 years) that left a historical footprint that wasn't at the very least rooted in the structure of religion.

the problem is the worthless fucking mods. shitposts/bait threads never get deleted. all you have to do is make a shitpost and add "ANY BOOKS FOR THIS FEEL" at the end, the mods will never delete even the stinkiest shitpost that does this because its "technically" book related.

my will to do anything is vanishing. i take no joy in anything now. i cant bring myself to read or write like i used to, not even play video games. now all i do is exist all day, fulfill biological necessities and watch youtube videos (of people playing games that i used to play).
how to get out of this sinkhole anons. ot is not even despair I feel. just unwillingness. emptyness. i lack any drive. i'd say I just want to lay in bed forever but I lack the will even for that. I just go on through life unmoved, like as if it were being shown to me in a movie theater. I had to bring myself to write this post. even binge reading 4chan posts has become hard to get myself to do. help anons, this is a cry for help.

Best books to read when getting drunk after being diagnosed with advanced hepatitis? Only fiction. I hate reality, love.
