Why is this so reddit? I tried getting into it, but every character, every line of dialogue, every internal monologue is a bad clichee
Literally like some prime söyface tried having a go at writing bad fanfiction in the style of ASOIAF, how could this ever become successful? And how could I get memed into reading this?

What was the fucking point of this story?

I enjoyed the dialogue and some of the characters, and I even enjoyed some of the "subversion" Abercrombie does.

But at the end I'm just left feeling...what a waste of time.

separate post got ignored, so i'll post here
just finished pic related and I enjoyed it immenselly. Everything worked for me, the story, the characters, the humour, etc. I had heard that the ending was disappointing to some people, but it wasn't for me.
what could you recommend me based on this? I know there are stand-alone novels but I want to try something else atm. I had heard good things about Prince of Nothing, how is it?

Just finished it and I've got to say, I loved every second of it. Everything worked for me, the story, the characters, the humour, etc. I had heard that the ending was disappointing to some people, but it wasn't for me.
To keep the blogpost short, given that I really enjoyed reading this series, what fantasy work would you recommend I read next? I know there are stand-alone novels (reading Best Served Cold right now) and a new trilogy coming out this year (has it been revealed whom the story will follow?), but I would also like to try something not necessarilly by Abercrombie. I had heard good things about Prince of Nothing, how is it?
