>This place is not making you happy. You are not having fun. You are not gathering stories to tell, learning, or growing as a person. Instead you chuckle every thirty minutes and are occasionally spurred to masturbation by libidinal posts or pictures. You are addicted to readily available information and pressure-free social interaction. This place is slowly poisoning you with misogyny, narcissism, a false dichotomy surrounding normalfags, and insecurity.

What are some books about the strange sense of isolation and alienation that comes from living in a modern, major metropolitan city?

>If you're so intelligent, why can't you get a girlfriend?
Because most of them are thots like your pic: a malnourished simpleton bored by everything. I'd rather be alone.

I have a dumb question. Everyone's saying that I should start with the Greeks, and they force that meme over and over to the point that I don't even know why I should. Is it genuinely helpful to me as a reader and potential writer that I read something that old?

I'm more interested in the 'why' and 'how'.
