I feel the biggest thing holding me back is that I don't know what I want out of life. I'm confused and distracted, exposed to multiple third parties that want to lead me astray in every which direction, without the guidance of a father figure or mentor, swimming in a sea of uncertainty.
The simple solution is to pick a direction and swim, but which way? Therein lies the crux of the problem.

I was talking to my Nan yesterday who turned 18 in the 70s. I asked her if everyone just knew the dance moves like on the movie Saturday Night Fever. Which she said yes. She even broke out a couple dance moves she used to do.
She even said that every guy knew how to do the twist and men would dance with women and the men would swing women around and slip them under their legs and twirl them around.

The absolute state of dancing now days is embarassing. I don't even know how to dance or know any dance moves, yet people comment on how well I dance.
The music is horrendous and unless you're at an oldies pub the only music you'll hear is DOOF DOOF DOOF DOOF. No wonder why no one can dance anymore.

I miss old Youtube, the AMVs, YT Poops, stolen flash animations from Newgrounds, organic viral videos. Now its all sanitized, corporate bullshit, with "Youtubers" being Internet prostitutes, stopping their video dead in its track to shill their sponsors product, videos coming with ads and then having the audacity of "playfully" joking that YT changed its algorithm and now they're not making as many shekels as before despite living off of it without having an actual job. It's telling that they dropped their slogan "Broadcast Yourself". Youtube was for the average joe to post and share funny videos in, now its safe, sterile corporate crap
