>imagine if your kid and your kid alone speaks like a 19th century novel

Oh, you mean like this?

>Niggers would come miles to hear Jim tell about it, and he was more looked up to than any nigger in that country. Strange niggers would stand with their mouths open and look him all over, same as if he was a wonder. Niggers is always talking about witches in the dark by the kitchen fire; but whenever one was talking and letting on to know all about such things, Jim would happen in and say, “Hm! What you know ‘bout witches?” and that nigger was corked up and had to take a back seat.

I love comfy adventure /lit/ that makes me question my wagie life and makes me want to live without any responsibilities.
I'll start:
>Huckleberry Finn
>Siddartha
>Into The Wild (yes, unironically. I know that it is a little fake and gay but it's still a good read)

Mark Twain does it in The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. After a shooting of a obnoxious crazed drunk in the street, a guy in a white hat explains it to some of the crowd, the guy is Twain.

What did you guys think of the last few chapters of The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn? Apparently Ernest Hemingway and many others thought they were a shit, and risked ruining the whole book.

In my opinion, they fit the duality of the setting. In both Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn, there's a peculiar mix of whimsical boyish adventure and serious shit happening. The ending of Huck Finn was just more like the beginning than the middle. It's also just very Amurrican, pardon the expression, for Tom Sawyer to just show up and 'save the day.' Meanwhile, Jim has legally been free for some time. I thought it was a pretty great ending and didn't betray the book as a whole.
