She always talks about horses, but i really like her. I can vaguely rememeber that Turin incident.

Is this whole book just a warning against nihilism?

Do I necessarily need any prerequisites on Nietzsche to take anything of value out of pic related?
And if so, where would you recommend to start?
I just started reading it and I'm already struggling with the concept of the Übermensch.

Im kinda have a hard time with this. Some chapter I follow pretty well but other just totally get me. Ive been using sparknotes to kinda help guide me along but feel like a total pleb. Am I just not smart enough or is this book admittedly difficult to read?

About to start reading this. Ive never read a philosophy book before. Is this worth it? Will it affect me in any way? Can I even understand it? I have an IQ of 130 and am an Mech Eng graduate.

nietzsche literally changed my entire life, and i'm still only in high school. since first reading beyond good and evil and now just finishing thus spoke zarathustra, the entire foundation of the way i perceive, process, and formulate thoughts and ideas has changed in a way that i can only describe as beautiful. "amor fati" is and probably forever shall be my life slogan (along with "so it goes" from vonnegut, of course). this post will probably get a bunch of hate from people who claim to know everything about nietzsche saying 'amor fati'?!?!?! but nietzsche's point wasn't for you to accept his ideas, but to create your own! whatever. i like it. seriously, this and all of his other books, well worth the read.

What does /lit/ think about Thus Spoke Zarathustra? I haven't felt so conflicted about a book until now.
Some of it makes sense, some of it rings of Greek Philosophy, and some of it reads like the ramblings of a mad man.

Just read this and it was fantastic

What Nietzsche book should I read next?
preferrably something that incorporates elements such as eternal recurrance and the ubermensch like in thus spake zarathustra
