Hinduism: Bhagavad Gita, Upanishads
Buddhism: Pali Canon

t. Haven't read either desupai, but this is what I hear of secondhand. The quote attached is from Krishna in the Gita. Good luck, OP. There's much wisdom in these cultures.

Dharma is still necessary, but still part of the illusion ultimately. The Bhagavad Gita expounds this well, wherein Krishna speaks the quote attached. In the absolute sense, everyone is merely Brahman playing out individuated roles, and therefore nobody either kills or is killed by another, as all are ultimately one, and neither born nor ever dead. But, as Krishna emphasizes, while in these roles it is mandatory to carry out our personal Dharma, or duty. Truly enlightened ones, however, are detached from even righteousness, moving past it to the final realm which is beyond such illusory-notions.

Well, even if he didn't say it he likely feels it, and either way he doesn't understand that he will never "cease to be".

Not on death exactly, but rather the lack of it. Spoken by Sri Krishna in the Bhagavad Gita.
