Is there any point in reading books which you don't understand? While I usually enjoy the books I don't look at things on a deeper level or I can't express my reaction to them in words.

Has anyone here actually found any use in seeing a psychologist?

I've had four sessions and I'm just bored and tired. All he does is ask questions to build up a picture, is there meant to be some grand finale of questions after this that cut to my core?

I'm on SSRIs for general anxiety
and marijuana for vague despair
I'm not bothered by this cultural anomie,
when I'm high all's well and fair.

I call myself an artist and a writer,
but I have nothing new to say.
Of online jokes I'm the grand Arbiter,
and I masturbate thrice a day.

No wild emotion stirs the smithy
of my soul; my intent is entirely vain.
For comedy I'm not nearly witty,
the funniest joke I know is "BANE?"

And so I spend my days in strange elation,
Consuming and being consumed by the simulation.

I'm having trouble coming to terms with the nonexistence of free will and it's depressing the hell out of me.
