We've known about space Scadrial for over a decade. The last Cosmere series will be future space opera Mistborn with Hoid as the MC.

This isn't even /sffg/ anymore. This is just a place I sometimes visit to discuss what I'm reading or a series I like.

what the actual FUCK
What's worse is that I was a few pages in so either I didn't notice or I decided to read Dune but I have too much of a backlog to fuck with Dune now and not enough interest/

A Place Called Skull, Book 2 of a (short) trilogy. I am liking it so far. I'll give it a review once I'm done with book 3.
I haven't read any chinkshit in maybe 2 weeks-ish? I finished Gebados and moved on to Fiend in Coiling Dragon. I read some litRPG that was so mediocre I won't bother naming it, and I finally finished Dungeon Born the other day, along with Where The Gods Gather (book 1 of that aforementioned trilogy).

I like Revelation Space and the Xeelee Sequence, my two favorite space operas. The new Xeelee book is alright. I'm expecting this to be the finale to the overall 'main' plot line and hoping to get some BIG REVEALS toward the end. Some segments of this feel like a shonen too with all the different powerlevels.
>tfw thread infested with newfags acting like tripfags are the worst thing ever
No wonder we can't discuss books most the time and threads devolve into everything being a repost being a repost being a repost.

I need literature on the level of ever17 and Virtue's Last Reward; stories with twists that I won't see coming, and at the same time, will absolutely fucking floor me.

>What Sci-Fi and Fantasy are you reading at the moment?
Eyes of the Overworld by Jack Vance.
>Who are you favorite female protagonists in SFF?
I liked Volvoya from Revelation Space. Sabriel was neat too. I don't remember a whole lot.
>Who's your favorite female author in SFF?
Don't have a particular one.

I'm hoping some of the later Cosmere HAPPENINGS will blow my mind.

>>7255400
To add onto what this anon said, Stormlight does still retain a lot of repetition (like you would notice in Mistborn with characters repeating the same actions often, main female characters being written the same, stuff like that.)

Also Way of Kings is solid but it does have acknowledged pacing issues.

>Favorite fantasy series?
Cosmere meta by Sanderson

>Favorite Sci-Fi series?
Revelation Space universe by Alastair Reynolds
I think I fucked myself up for hard sci-fi because I can't see anything ever topping this.

>What is your guilty pleasure (Sci-Fi or Fantasy)?
I don't really have any. Since aging, I've realized a lot of the shit I read in the past was pure filth and nowadays try to stick to good Fantasy or Sci-fi.

If you hope to understand the vast majority of important plot lines and subject material, yes. It takes place ~300 years after the original trilogy.

I was just thinking on The Pendragon Adventures before seeing this thread and I guess it technically counts as it begins with fantasy and goes to sci-fi rather quickly, even extra with later reveals. Plus it gets dark as fuck in the last two books.

>>6592481
There were plenty of likable characters in Revelation Space.

>>6594294
No. They're really good. A bit of repetition around the middle of the series but overall the series is wonderful.
