What is the deal with men pretending they don't find young girls attractive? What is the cause of their cognitive dissidence?

I see men in their late 20s that talk about how they wouldn't date a 21 year old because they think she's too "immature". (as if that's the appeal of women)
I see twitter mobs of people shitting on a couple where the man is 24 and the girl is 17.
People on reddit calling those attracted to 15 year olds "pedophiles"
I mean, what the fuck man? Why the hysteria? Maybe this is mostly an american phenomena but I see another shift coming in the overton window.

Back in the "good 'ol days" you can just about marry anyone who was pubescent, and have them betrothed to you even earlier than that.
Girls, (and boys if you're a big homo) are attractive sexually years before whatever arbitrary age of majority you have set, not only that but they are sexual themselves. Let me ask you, what was the age which you began masturbating?

The other consequences, are only socioeconomic because it's really only those who are poverty stricken, uneducated, that would have a children at a young age. Otherwise they would be in school.
