What is it that enables big people like Tesla or Arisototel to sleep less than any other human being?

It seems all that there was to be found, like texts such as the Nag Hammadi library, have already been found in the past hundred or two hundred so years. So what are the chances of finding something like Aristotle's books or the other fragments of the Oedipus plays, or have all such places been entirely searched beyond any hope?

The greeks are fucking boring and trivial, how do I survive 2000 pages of thoughts I basically had in high school.

The problem I have with Plato's "Parmenides" is that he seems to think the philosopher's life is all about philosophy. He is a great scholar, and a master at teaching his own philosophy to others, but when he's in the thick of things he doesn't really talk philosophy, he just talks about all the cool shit he's doing in his studies. In fact, his main character, Socrates, doesn't talk philosophy at all. He is an atheist, and if you ask him about the nature of God or about how one is to live a good life, he'll tell you that you need to be an atheist to live a good life. When I read the first two books of the Republic, the whole reason I started reading them was so I could read a book where the main character doesn't talk about philosophy, but the main character is a brilliant philosopher who is basically a god.

I don't think anyone would disagree with this.

Aristotle's theories have been thoroughly dismantled by modern science. The substance and accident methodology of explaining our universe is laughed at outside philosophy classrooms. Sadly his only relevance today is using his outdated explanatory tools to justify bizarre cannibalistic rituals in the Catholic church (the eucharist).

My mum is a professor at a top 3 British university (oxbridge/ucl) she’s also a widow, anyway she was having a dinner party today with some of her fellow academic colleagues, politics came up and I basically used the phrase “eurocucks” when the topic shifted to brexit. Everyone had had a few glasses of wine at this point and the minute I used this phrase everyone went completely silent. Honestly it was 12 people in a small flat and you could hear a pin drop. My mum went bright red and then someone practically sneered at me asking what I meant by that. Because I was on the spot I started spilling spaghetti and went on some tangent trying to connect Aristotle and libertarianism and explaining how Hegel caused cultural Marxism or something. I don’t know i became a sweating mess and I didn’t even know how to form a coherent explanation, I was practically just spamming names I read on this board. At what point I even did an impression of Zizek but I was too nervous so it wasn’t very good and I don’t think they got it when I was rubbing my nose and lisping and doing his bit about the toilets. Fortunately I didn’t mention Jews but I almost quoted Mein Kampf before catching myself. Anyways after an excruciating ten minutes of people staring at my dumbfoundedly someone changed the subject and I excused myself for bed. This morning my mum started crying at breakfast talking about how only my father knew how to deal with me (she’s a widow) and now she’s saying that I either go to uni (I’m 28 years old) or I move out, because she’s tired of making excuses for me. I said uni was ”pozzed” and that it’s impossible for a white male to succeed in our SJW culture. She’s being stubborn about this issue, anyways she’s hosting another dinner party in 2 weeks, my question is anons what is a good reading list to BTFO her and her friends so hopefully she stops thinking I’m wasting my time. I can read maybe 400 pages a day so basically want 5600 pages of reading material.

>those who are as different [from other men] as the soul from the body or man from beast—and they are in this state if their work is the use of the body, and if this is the best that can come from them—are slaves by nature. For them it is better to be ruled in accordance with this sort of rule, if such is the case for the other things mentioned.
Was he right? Are some people natural slaves?

>I cant stand veneration of Greek-Roman culture in this day and age because its usually backed up by loaded nonsense by aesthetically inclined people
>Well especially greek thought is generally held in high regard due to its supposedly innate, self evident and intuitive nature. However this paradigm is proported by peoples who once thought they could examine the phonemes and alphabet of their language to discover the secrets of the universe
>this is entirely antithetical to the analysis-interpretive-induction paradigm we use today, while partially cumbersome avoids sublimation of categories by subjective tendencies
>So it generally appeals to people whose hearts are tinged by the words "High, low" and those who take for granted human understanding, without first analysing the causal chain of such states of affairs
>the self purporting universals of Greek thought are little more than 3rd rate structures induced by presentational immediacy and sublimation of difference as accidental
>or its ironically and painfully Sophistic
