I fucking hate reading poetry and reading about poets/poetry. Why the fuck are almost every single one of them, especially modern ones, so fucking obtuse? Is it self-masturbatory?

After getting a master's do employers even look at where you went to school for your undergrad? I went to a basic-ass state school for my undergrad with a major in english lit and I'm thinking of going in for my master's at a better school.

I haven't written anything in the past 6 months.

Sometimes I can brainstorm up a few pages, but it's never when I'm at my computer. Even if it was, most of the time I get stuck a few paragraphs in, get dissatisfied, and stop.

I need to break out of this. Any advice?
