I was being rather sarcastic, but it does fit in with the Chad archetype, not giving a fuck and doing great. Some authors write these meticulous pieces that are so well thought out and polished, very few of them, like Gene Wolfe, Jack Vance and Tolkien, ever get any recognition and larger readerships. Then you have people who just don't give a fuck, that throw together something in under a week or shove in filler about food when they can't think of anything else. They tend to write overly long series and they never finish them, with tons of shit that never goes anywhere. Or maybe it's just a big long slog towards some end that is never reached. Robert Jordan, Gurm, Rothfuss, Frank Herbert and so on. Moorcock is a hack too, but somehow he managed to finish the Elric series, because he has some talent in getting shit done.

If your intention is not to create some brilliant work but to make money and gain fame then the hack method is far superior. It's about quantity on all levels, more pages, more bloat, more viewpoints, more hooks, more crooks, more books, more plot points and so on. This is what gets you a contract and a spot on the fantasy best seller list.
