My worldview brightened quite alot after reading him, it feels, well, almost optimistic in comparison

He did not teach me uncomfortable truths that i wasn't already aware of, he merely taught me how you can still find happiness even if this World is a kind of hell, by detaching from material things, by focusing on making yourself the most virtuous you can be and being content with little, by always reminding yourself to not take your loved ones for granted, always preparing for the worst. Honestly the alternative of materialistic "optimistic" nihilism was much more depressing to me because the material laws of the World are undoubtedly horrible and Schopenhauerian "pessimism" just feels much less suffocatingly dull and meaningless than engaging in the hedonistic material rat race

This is the most common "rebuke" i hear from nihilists in regards to why they're not moral nihilists if they already believe that life is meaningless and devoid of value

But it's nothing short of absolutely infantile and hypocritical, what the fuck kind of argument is this if you think life has no meaning or inherent value? What the fuck? If life is objectively worthless then what weight does it hold to call somebody who doesn't find your morality to be obviously true a psychopath, let alone "evil"? Are you not presupposing some kind of rational basis to morality and value? Because if you aren't, then all you're doing is effectively shouting "YOU HURT MY FEELINGS! YOU'RE EVIL!" Which is a complete nonargument, because everybody can assert that same shit from their perspective, you think the cops didn't hurt Ted Bundy's feelings, the Allies didn't hurt Hitler's feelings? Why is hurting or offending somebody being bad anything but subjective if life has no value in the first place?
