What's the best edition of The Hobbit?

I remember seeing this pretty cool hardcover edition of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings recommended here not long ago, but I can't find it anymore and there's like a zillion editions of each. It'd be nice if someone could point it out, but it's mostly The Hobbit I'm interested in.

I'v read The Hobbit and some LOTR and I think it's quite good. But are your opinions on it? yes I'v seen the movies though. I'm going to read The Silmarillion and Unfinished Tales next.

Hello there.

I'm working for the first time of my life as a high school teacher in Spain. Summer is approaching to my young students (lasting about 2 weeks to end the school year) and I want to make a 2-hour class talking with them about books and I want to recommend some titles to push up their readings.

They are 13 to 14 years old and most of their reading is, obviously, quite childish. I want to talk to them about novels which could be the next step to their development into more sophisticated readers.

I do not want to go too far talking about fiction they could possibly not understand being so young as they are, so I'm selecting with care among my readings. So far, I have chosen 6 books, 2 of them I'm afraid are pretty much too complicated for their age and it's possible I won't mention those.

I want your opinions about my choices and any suggestions you want to make. I have 2 weeks left to read most of your reccomendations.

The first one I'm convinced to suggest is «The Hobbit». I will post the other titles on the next posts.
