in every domain an outlier comes and changes it forever, i think this is the case with Ernest Hemingway. i came into this book which is released about a hundred years ago expecting it to be a little hard or usual to read yet i found it to be surprisingly modern, but what exceeded my expectation was its tedium, tedious is putting mildly. i quit pieces of entertainment before games, series and movies but i didn't quit books, i slug through them like its my day job, but i couldn't take anymore of tossers being chauffeured from one french caffé to a paris restaurant!! yes i get it you lost your balls, which he wasn't subtle about by the way!!

i gave up around... i can't remember... train stations in spain... hotels. this whole thing reminds of a quote Stanley Kubrick said

>"Everything has already been done. every story has been told every scene has been shot. it’s our job to do it one better."

The Sun Also Rises feels like a product of its time, sorta how you appreciate the ford model T but driving it today is a hell of a chore.
