>Protestantism is probably the best form of Christianity

lel, no. Protestantism will always be snared by the limitations of Sola Scriptura, because even if they wanted to draw on Sacred Tradition, they can't, because they cut themselves off from the Old Churches. So they're stuck with Scripture, but the trouble is, Christianity predates the Bible, so you've got them stretching verses and sometimes flat-out making shit up.

The proper ranking of Churches puts Catholicism at the top, followed by Orthodoxy, then the Ethiopian Church, then the Coptic Church. And they might all be uniting in a decade or so anyway, so soon the subdivisions could be moot.

What was the last theology/religious work everybody's read?

Last month I finished St. Francis de Sales' "The Introduction to the Devout Life," also called the "Philothea." It sort of took me by surprise, because it's not really a book of theology as I had assumed. Rather, it's more of a guide to how you can live everyday life in a holier, more devout way. The chapters are super short, and the writing is very clear and simple. Some of the analogies that rely on animal behavior are sort of cringe-inducing in their wrongness, but it doesn't detract from the work.

I wish I knew French, I'm told Francis' French is very nice, but again, even in translation it was simple and straightforward.

I just finished reading St. Francis de Sales' "The Introduction to the Devout Life," and I found it charming and clearly written, even in the English translation. It's sort of a guidebook on how to live a holy life in everyday circumstances, but there's theology woven throughout it.

>Current

>He's my Confirmation saint, so I've always wanted to read some of his works. So far it's very inspirational and delightful, I'd give it a 7/10

>Next

>always been curious about it, plus I need to read it for research for a novel I'm going to write
