I've decided to put monthly reading on hiatus. There's a couple of reasons, where the most obvious is the lack of further interest. While my original intention during early winter was to keep going at least until summer ending things on our two year anniversary felt more fitting.

Monthly reading might return as a summer project, or revived by someone else but I'm done for now. Thanks for joining, see you later space cowboys.

I would not have become a writer, and I wouldn't have become the kind of writer that I am, if I hadn't read The Book of the New Sun at a very important time in my life. My debt to Gene Wolfe can't be overstated. I wrote him two letters, but I never got responses to them. I hope he received them. I always wanted to meet him some day, and now I never will.

Is Harold Bloom ever going to get around to reading him? Bloom is old and thin, now, and is running out of time.
