That's because your understanding of Traditionalism is flawed. The point is not to go back in time and emulate some period, but to find in the past the Traditional principles which are metaphysical in nature compared to some period, to some time that's contingent.
Think of it like physics. You look up to older experiments or some repeat some experiments not to just for the sake of doing physics but to discover the underlying principles that can come forth from these experiments.
The point is not to merely pretend that it's a certain time and teleport back, but to find why at a certain point some absolute values were held in such high regard and what that meant, why are they needed and how can be learnt again. It's not to reinvent the wheel, it's that we have forgotten what it means to make a wheel in the first place and why it's that important.
